Welcome to Kersting Designs! We are husband-and-wife artists Karen Kersting Hefner and Kenny Hefner, creating original fine art paintings and archival quality fine art prints for collectors, homeowners, and businesses.

I'm Karen Kersting Hefner, and as the child of military parents, I had the opportunity to live in many places before eventually settling in a charming college town in Georgia, where Kenny and I now call home. Creativity has always been a part of our lives, and together we've spent decades exploring new artistic techniques, mediums, and styles.

​

Over the years, we've worked in woodworking, photography, stained glass, colored pencil, watercolor, acrylic, and oil painting. Every new medium has helped shape our artistic journey and continues to influence the work we create today.

​

My current passion is creating vibrant original abstract paintings for sale using alcohol inks. The fluid movement, brilliant colors, and unpredictable nature of the inks produce expressive abstract alcohol ink paintings that are never duplicated. We also offer alcohol ink art prints and archival quality art prints, allowing collectors to enjoy these unique designs in a variety of sizes.

I've also rediscovered my love of acrylic painting and continue to build a growing collection of impressionist acrylic paintings for sale. Inspired by everyday moments, nature, florals, wildlife, and still life subjects, my impressionist acrylic art combines bold color, expressive brushwork, and light to create artwork that brings warmth and joy to homes and businesses alike.

Kenny's artistic journey began with oil painting during his college years before he spent many years working primarily in watercolor. Today, he has returned to his roots, creating beautiful original oil on canvas paintings while continuing to produce expressive original watercolor paintings for sale. His work reflects a love of traditional techniques paired with a fresh artistic perspective.
